Cleaning Service FAQ
Straight answers before you schedule service
Find practical information about residential cleaning, recurring service, scheduling, property access, pricing, team standards, policies, and custom work.
01 / Choosing a service
Start with what the property needs today
Residential cleaning can usually be selected and priced online. Commercial, construction, rental, event, and other specialty work may require a property-specific review.
What services do you offer?
Baseline offers one-time and recurring residential cleaning, Baseline Clean, Deep Clean, Move-In / Move-Out Cleaning, post-construction cleaning, short-term rental turnover cleaning, model home cleaning, commercial cleaning, and event cleanup.
Service availability can vary by market and property. Review our Cleaning Services for current options.
How do I know what type of cleaning I need?
If it is your first professional cleaning or the home has noticeable buildup, we generally recommend a Deep Clean. Baseline Clean is designed for routine upkeep and recurring maintenance. Move-In / Move-Out Cleaning is intended for moving transitions.
If you are unsure, contact us and we can help you choose the service that best matches the current condition of the home.
How do I book a service?
Residential cleaning can be booked online using the Book Now option in the site header. You can enter your home details, review current pricing and availability, select the service, and schedule the visit.
You can also contact Baseline for questions, specialty cleaning, or custom property-based work.
What if I have a unique request?
Include the request in your booking notes so the team can review it. You can also call or send us a message before the visit.
If the request falls outside the normal service checklist, we will review it before confirming whether it can be included.
02 / Scheduling & recurring service
Build cleaning around the way the home operates
Recurring service works best when access, frequency, property information, and normal expectations are established early and maintained over time.
How often can I schedule recurring cleanings?
Recurring cleaning is available weekly, biweekly, or monthly. Our current recurring discounts are 20% for weekly service, 15% for biweekly service, and 10% for monthly service.
Can I request the same team each time?
Yes. You can request the same cleaner or team and we will prioritize continuity whenever scheduling allows.
A cleaner may occasionally be unavailable because of another booking, vacation, illness, or schedule change. You can use another qualified Baseline team member or request to reschedule without an additional rescheduling charge.
Do I need to be home during the cleaning?
No. You do not need to be home. Provide accurate entry instructions when booking so the team can access the property.
If the team cannot enter because an access code is incorrect, no one is available to provide entry, or another access problem prevents service, we will make several attempts to contact you before leaving. A full cleaning charge may apply when the team cannot access the property at the scheduled time.
What if I have pets?
Non-aggressive pets may remain in the home. Pets that may become aggressive or interfere with safe service should be secured or removed while the team is working.
For health and safety reasons, normal cleaning service does not include removal of animal feces. Please make sure those conditions are addressed before the team arrives.
What should I do before the team arrives?
You do not need to perform a pre-cleaning or straighten the home for us. Make sure the property is accessible and provide any important instructions that could affect the visit.
Will I still be charged for recurring cleanings if I don’t use them? Is there a minimum monthly fee?
No. There is no minimum monthly spend and no charge for recurring cleanings that are not completed. You are billed only for services you actually receive.
If you need to skip, reschedule, or pause a recurring cleaning, let us know within the applicable notice window and we will adjust the schedule.
03 / Team & service standards
Responsibility stays with Baseline
Baseline uses an employee-based field-service model with training, background screening, defined expectations, property information, supervision, and a clear correction path.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Baseline is licensed and insured for its operations. Applicable commercial vendor qualification requirements can also be reviewed when establishing a commercial relationship.
How do you ensure quality?
Baseline uses trained in-house employees, defined cleaning checklists, useful property notes, field supervision, and company accountability to maintain consistent expectations from one visit to the next.
Do you bring your own supplies and equipment?
Yes. Baseline normally provides the cleaning supplies and equipment required for the scheduled service.
If you have a specific product or piece of equipment that you prefer us to use, add that information to the job notes or contact us before the visit. We can review customer-provided supplies when appropriate.
Are your cleaners background checked?
Yes. Background screening is part of the Baseline hiring process before field employees work independently inside customer properties.
Do you have a satisfaction guarantee?
Yes. If something within the agreed cleaning scope needs attention, contact Baseline within 24 hours and describe the issue.
We will review the concern and, when appropriate under the Clean Promise, arrange a return visit at no additional charge to correct the affected cleaning item.
Are Baseline cleaners employees?
Yes. Baseline uses an in-house employee model rather than building the service around independent gig workers. The company hires, equips, trains, supports, and supervises its field team.
04 / Pricing & policies
Know the important details before service begins
Residential pricing can usually be reviewed before booking. Specialty and property-based services are scoped according to the property, timing, access, and requested work.
What is your cancellation policy?
Please provide at least 24 hours of notice when cancelling or rescheduling a cleaning. Cancellations or schedule changes made inside that notice window may be subject to a $25 cancellation fee.
Do you charge late fees or no-show fees?
To avoid a $25 cancellation fee, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance if you need to cancel or reschedule.
If our cleaners arrive for a scheduled service but cannot access the property because entry instructions were not provided or we cannot reach you, the full scheduled cleaning fee may be charged.
How does Baseline pricing work? Is it hourly?
No. Standard residential cleaning is not billed as an hourly cleaning session. You are purchasing the agreed cleaning service and checklist rather than a fixed number of labor hours.
Residential pricing is based on the selected service and the home details entered during booking, including bedroom and bathroom information in the current booking model.
The price shown for the selected scope does not increase simply because the cleaning takes longer than expected. The team works to complete the agreed cleaning checklist rather than stopping because an hourly timer expires.
You can review current pricing before confirming a residential booking using the Book Now option.
How are commercial and specialty cleaning services priced?
Commercial cleaning, post-construction cleaning, short-term rental turnovers, model home cleaning, event cleanup, and other specialty work may require a custom scope.
Pricing can depend on the property, requested work, approximate size, service frequency, access requirements, timing, and other property-specific conditions.
Contact Baseline with the property and service details so we can review the request.
